RIBA 150 Year Commemorative Mug 1984

RIBA commemorative mug designed by Peter Murray for the Festival of Architecture 1984, then celebrating 150 years of the institution.
1984 saw Prince Charles give a speech to the audience which proved to be very controversial, as he announced a growing feeling that architects were designing for fellow architects & critics only, and not the tenants of the buildings they were designing.  Not sure the RIBA were expecting that bombshell, and so the year has become very memorable!
Stamp to base "Eric Gill Crest 1934", Made In England.

A classic commemorative item for any architectural enthusiast.
